Combat Progression & New Tutorial System
Blade Rising 1.3.6 brings a redesigned Combat EXP and leveling system, a brand-new contextual Tutorial system, new information panels, improved Weak Point unlock feedback and Android 16 support.
Combat EXP & Leveling Redesign
We've redesigned Combat EXP and Combat Level progression.
Combat leveling now uses an improved progression curve, making gaining levels during an adventure feel more natural as players push through increasingly difficult Floors of Evil.
Combat Levels represent the strength your hero gains during the current adventure.
Increasing your Combat Level makes your Dachshund stronger during combat by improving combat stats such as Damage and Health.
Combat Level progression is specific to the current adventure and resets when the run ends.
This system remains separate from Battle Pass XP and Monthly Rewards XP.
New Tutorial System
Blade Rising now has a new contextual Tutorial system with 9 tutorial hints.
Instead of presenting a large amount of information at the beginning of the game, tutorials now appear when players encounter the relevant mechanic or reach an important progression milestone.
The new tutorials help explain key parts of Blade Rising including:
Combat Level progression
Enemy encounters
The Main Quest
Resource Gathering
Equipment
Golden Beaver encounters
Adventure Summary
Game Over and defeat mechanics
Other important early progression mechanics
The goal is to teach the game gradually while players are actually interacting with each system.
Tutorial hints are designed to appear at relevant moments without requiring players to read a large tutorial before they can start playing.
New Battle Pass & Lootbox Chamber Info Panels
We've added 2 new information panels to make important game systems easier to understand.
Battle Pass
The Battle Pass screen now includes a dedicated information panel explaining the system and its progression.
Players can use it whenever they need a reminder about how the Battle Pass works.
Lootbox Chamber
The Lootbox Chamber now has its own information panel explaining the Chamber and its mechanics.
These panels remain accessible from their respective screens, allowing players to check the information whenever needed.
Weak Point Unlock Popups Fixed
We've improved the feedback when additional Weak Points are unlocked.
Some additional Weak Points were unlocking correctly in combat progression, but their unlock popup could fail to appear.
This meant a player could gain another Weak Point without receiving any notification explaining what had happened.
The unlock popup behavior for the 3rd Weak Point and beyond has now been fixed.
When combat progression unlocks another Weak Point, players should now receive the appropriate notification instead of the Weak Point being unlocked silently.
Weak Points themselves were already being unlocked correctly. This fix specifically addresses the missing unlock feedback.
Android 16 Support
Blade Rising now targets Android 16 / API level 36.
This update brings the game in line with the latest Google Play target API requirements and keeps Blade Rising ready for newer Android versions.
This is primarily a platform compatibility and Google Play compliance update and does not change the core gameplay experience.
Other Fixes
Blade Rising 1.3.6 also includes several smaller fixes and improvements across the game:
Improved Combat Level progression.
Improved onboarding and explanation of game mechanics.
Added contextual tutorial triggers.
Improved Weak Point unlock feedback.
Added Battle Pass information access.
Added Lootbox Chamber information access.
Updated Android target API requirements.
Minor bug fixes and stability improvements.
