Blade Rising combines automatic RPG combat with incremental progression. Your first objective is to advance through the Floors of Evil, defeat bosses and unlock the systems that make each future run stronger. Combat progress opens new features, while Gathering, equipment, account progression and Prestige provide additional ways to develop your character. This guide covers the core systems available during the beginning of the game. It intentionally avoids advanced Prestige Tree builds and detailed balance values, which are covered in separate guides.
What you'll learn
- How progress through the Floors of Evil is structured
- When important early-game systems unlock
- How Gathering produces resources
- What happens when you Ascend
- How Offline Income, Daily Login and the Battle Pass support progression
- How shortcuts help you return to previously reached floors
Section 01
Your First Run
A run begins at the start of the Floors of Evil.
Each floor contains 10 combat encounters: encounters 1–9 are regular or elite enemies, and encounter 10 is the floor boss. Elite enemies appear at encounters 4 and 7.
Defeating the boss completes the floor and allows you to continue to the next one.
As you climb, enemies become stronger. Progress therefore depends on improving your combat statistics and using the progression systems unlocked along the way.
Section 02
Early Feature Unlocks
Important systems become available as you defeat specific enemies and bosses. The verified early progression is:
Defeat your first elite enemy to unlock Weak Points.
Defeat your first boss to unlock Prestige.
Defeat your second boss to unlock the Laughing Skull.
Defeat your fifth boss to unlock Shortcut.
These unlocks introduce new combat interactions and long-term progression systems gradually instead of presenting every mechanic at the beginning.
Section 03
Weak Points
Weak Points become available after defeating the first elite enemy.
Once unlocked, they become part of combat progression and can interact with bonuses from equipment and the Prestige Tree.
Section 04
Gathering Resources
Gathering is a separate progression system built around three resources.
Each Gathering resource supports two forms of production: click income, earned by actively gathering, and passive income, generated automatically over time.
Players can tap or hold the Gathering object to collect the currently selected resource. Holding begins repeated gathering and gradually increases the gathering frequency.
Gathering progression includes hires that contribute passive production, click-power upgrades, resource-level upgrades, and additional bonuses affecting individual or multiple resources.
Each of the three resources also has 10 visual development stages. The displayed Gathering object changes as its associated resource level increases.
Section 05
Offline Income
Passive Gathering production continues to provide value while the game is closed.
In the verified current configuration: Offline Income uses 50% of passive production; offline time is counted for a maximum of 8 hours; the normal Claim grants the displayed reward; the x2 option doubles the reward; and Ads-Free players can receive the x2 reward without watching the rewarded advertisement.
Offline Income applies to the three Gathering resources. The reward is calculated from passive production available when the system processes the offline period.
Section 06
Prestige and Ascension
Prestige becomes available after defeating the first boss.
As you progress through combat, Prestige Points become available to claim. The number of Prestige Points earned increases through progressive ten-floor reward brackets.
Claiming the available Prestige Points triggers Ascension.
Ascension resets the current run while preserving already owned Prestige Points and purchased Prestige progression.
The reset includes the current run's combat progress and Gathering progression. Resource 2 and Resource 3 are locked again, and the current shortcut range is reset.
After Ascension, the player begins a new run and can spend Prestige Points on permanent upgrades.
Section 07
Shortcuts and Checkpoints
Shortcut unlocks after defeating the fifth boss.
Shortcut floors are selected in steps of five: Floor 0 represents a normal fresh run beginning from Floor 1; Floor 5 starts from Floor 5; Floor 10 starts from Floor 10; further options continue in the same five-floor pattern.
The highest selectable shortcut is based on the best progress achieved during the current Ascension cycle.
After Ascension, this current-cycle record returns to zero. The player must climb again to rebuild the available shortcut range.
Section 08
Account Progression and the Battle Pass
Combat contributes to persistent account XP.
The Battle Pass reads account XP and uses it to determine the player's current Battle Pass step.
The Battle Pass contains 30 progression steps, a Free reward track, a Premium reward track, individual reward claims, and a Claim All option for collecting every currently available reward.
Premium rewards can only be claimed after Premium has been unlocked for the active season.
Claim All collects available rewards from both tracks, provided the associated rewards are unlocked and the Premium track is owned where required.
Section 09
Daily Login
Blade Rising includes a seven-day Daily Login reward track.
One available reward can be claimed according to the Daily Login state provided by the game backend.
The reward screen supports a normal Claim and an x2 claim using a rewarded advertisement.
The normal and x2 buttons are temporarily locked together while the rewarded advertisement is preparing. During this period, both buttons display "Loading".
Once the advertisement is ready, both claim choices become available.
After all seven days have been claimed, the seven-day track is complete.
Section 10
A Simple Early Progression Path
For a new player, the verified progression flow is:
1. Begin climbing the Floors of Evil.
2. Defeat the first elite and unlock Weak Points.
3. Defeat the first boss and unlock Prestige.
4. Continue through additional floors and bosses.
5. Develop active and passive Gathering production.
6. Use Offline Income after returning to the game.
7. Collect available Daily Login and Battle Pass rewards.
8. Unlock Shortcut after defeating the fifth boss.
9. Ascend when Prestige Points are available and you are ready to restart the current run.
10. Spend Prestige Points on permanent progression and begin the next run.
Section 11
What Should You Do After Your First Prestige?
After the first Ascension: spend the claimed Prestige Points on available permanent upgrades; begin a new combat run; rebuild Gathering production; re-unlock systems that reset with Ascension; use your permanent bonuses to progress further than before; and rebuild your current-cycle Shortcut range.
The central progression loop is: climb, earn Prestige Points, Ascend, purchase permanent upgrades and climb further during the next run.
